If you’ve been pirating EA’s latest game in The Sims franchise, you won’t be so happy with the final result.
Apparently, EA used an anti-piracy method that appears in The Sims 4 cracked torrents, in which your sims are fully blurred and everything around them, causing in a really bad quality and is the same as the censorship when your sim goes to bathroom or toilet, only that in here it’s permanent.
EA told Joystiq that it has “no plans to aid those players unable to enjoy their pirated copies of The Sims 4. Instead, the publisher urges affected players to purchase their own copy of the game which should lack the telltale pixelation.”
Pirates acted quickly and solved the problem with a patch, but it was still a nice move to limit torrent downloading of the game and force customers to buy the game in the legal way.
