Release date for the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain pushed up

If you’re a PC gamer and a fan of the franchise you’ll be pleased to know that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is coming to your preferred platform on the same day as its consoles counterparts. Konami confirms.

It was previously decided that the PC version will be coming after the home consoles’ one by two weeks on September 15. The new pushed-up date is the result of the team’s surprising effort on the PC version which is now close to be finished.

You can also Pre-order the game now on Steam, it’ll net you a free copy of Ground Zeroes as well as some other Mother Base’s DLCs. Sadly however, the Online portion of the game “Metal Gear Online” won’t be available on launch and had been pushed back to October on consoles and January 2016 on PC.

“We initially did not think it would be possible to get such an epic game out onto PC in time for launch alongside its console counterparts, but all involved have worked diligently to meet the demands of our PC consumers,” commented Konami president Tomotada Tashiro.

To play The Phantom Pain on your PC you’ll need the following requirements that were announced, which are:

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 7×64, Windows 8×64 (64-bit OS Required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 (3.40 GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) or better (DirectX 11 card Required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 28 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 7×64, Windows 8×64 (64-bit OS Required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 (3.60GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (DirectX 11 graphic card required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 28 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Surround Sound 5.1)

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is coming to PC, PS3/4 and Xbox One/360 September 1 then.
