Even though the PC version was originally planned for a September 15 release, the sweat and efforts of many programmers succeeded in pushing this date forward so it releases side by side with the console version.
“PC launch day earlier than original plan, Our programmers didn’t take summer vacation to make it happen.. kinda sad.” said senior producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi speaking about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
The team was pleased and enjoyed finishing the work early, but apparently their families weren’t happy as much. Still, if the game turns out to be like Ground Zero was then it’ll be all worth it.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases September 1 on PC, PS3/4 and Xbox One/360.
