After rumors and speculations circulated inside fans communities about whether or not will you be able to use a shield in Souls series developers’ next game, here’s the official confirmation that indeed Bloodborne will contain usable shields… but don’t trust them on your life.
The game was designed to motivate the player to be aggressive and pro-active so don’t expect any advantage in hiding or guarding with a shield, according to Sony Japan’s Masaaki Yamagiwa.
“If you’re always standing back and guarding, you’ll die very quickly, So you have to incorporate it into your strategy of how you play and fight.
“We wanted to encourage players to not hide and wait, but instead be more aggressive and pro-active in battle.” he said in an interview with one of the websites.
In other news it was revealed that the game’s graphics are continuously getting better since the last gameplay videos that we’ve seen. A PC version was completely denied saying there are no plans of bringing the game to that platform at all, so it’s recommended that you get a Playstation 4 to play From Software’s latest.
Bloodborne is coming to PS4 March 24.
