It seems that the good news are still coming to the players and fans of Apex Legends, as an all-new event will not only bring the old map again (sort of), but a new Solo mode with a unique twist on gameplay
Fight or Fright is a festive event within the beloved Battle Royale that brings Halloween atmosphere to it. This doesn’t only means great new Skins for the characters, but also a terrifying new mode that takes place on the original King’s Canyon map, which was replaced in the third season of the game for the new World’s Edge map.
As you enter the new mode called Shadowfall, you will notice two things: first, the map has been covered in the darkness of the night, and the second, the terrifying new addition, zombies, or as they are called here Shadows, controlled by dead players on the battlefield. The shadow has very little health and cannot carry weapons, but they’re so fast that it makes catching alive players a thrill. When the number of surviving players reaches 10, they are converted into one Squad whose mission is to escape endless masses of shadows, and then their mission is to reach the evacuation ship without dying.
It is interesting that the new teased hero Revenant is in the new mode in the announcer role and the organizer of the Shadowfall event, where you will hear a lot of his sarcastic notes while you play the new mide suggesting that we may be seeing him ingame very soon, but we do not know whether this will be during the third season or maybe even the fourth season if Respawn Entertainment follows the same launch schedule they you used with other legends, most recently Crypto.
As for the new Skins we have some great costumes for most of the characters, most notably Caustic, Mirage, Wraith and Crypto, and you will also be able to get Skins for some different weapons from the game world. Each skin’s pricing varies depending on its level of rarity, and you can either buy it through the buyable Apex Coin or Crafting Metal.
In related news, the developers announced their intention to introduce an entirely new training mode to Apex Legends that will add many of the features requested by the players, such as AI-controlled dummies for shooting training, the ability to join your friends in the training arena, and the possibility of switching the legend you play instead of sticking with Lifeline in the current training mode. There is no date yet for the current training mode, but the developers said it was coming “very soon”.
