IEM reveals female esports tournament Intel Challenge

Eight female teams will descend upon Katowice, Poland, between February 28th and March 2nd to fight over the lion’s share of the $50,000 prize pool from a new event by IEM called Intel Challenge.

Four teams will come from Europe, from four open qualifiers, while the last three teams will come from open qualifiers in North America, South America, and Asia.

The first team has already been announced, as the organizers have handed out the only invitation to the returning champions, Dignitas fe, leaving the rest of slots up for grabs in regional qualifiers.

Local qualifiers started out yesterday and will continue until February 2nd.
