The largest organization in the history of Asian esports has just announced the ONE Championship world series, which will be the largest so far on the Asian scene with promises of huge financial prizes and many events for various games
If you haven’t yet heard of ONE Esports yet, what you need to know is that it is one of the fastest growing esports organizations in the Asian market. Now that Carlos Alimurung is announced the CEO of the organization, ONE seems to be planning to dominate the competitive arena during the 2019-2020 season.
The new CEO comes from the Battlefy platform to bring his extensive experience in overseeing competitive tournaments to achieve ONE’s goals of expanding the Asian arena and setting up more world tournaments on its territory, starting with ONE Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational, where top teams will compete for $500,000 in December.
Other tournaments, such as ONE Tekken Tokyo Invitational and ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge, will be held in October next year, where players compete against nine of the world’s best players in a 3v3 championship.
