Overwatch World qualifying events come to an end, and here’s all participating teams

Overwatch World Cup qualifiers came to an end yesterday, announcing the final list of countries participating in the upcoming Blizzard Overwatch tournament. Here are the details you need to know

A total of eight teams were qualified to compete at the BlizzCon 2018 main event, where Overwatch World will be held at on November 2, with prizes ranging from $16,000 to teams as soon as they participate. However, topping the world stage and winning the first place and the grand prize is the ultimate goal for the contestants.

The French team, in addition to the UK team, was the last to arrive at the main event. The two teams joined the list of qualified teams consisting of Australia, China, Canada, USA, Finland and South Korea.

Months of waiting have come to an end and we are now a few weeks ahead of the start of the biggest Overwatch event in the world. The Korean team will try to defend their last year title against a list of strong teams that have gained considerable experience since the last tournament. In fact, there is no specific competitor we can expect to win this time, but the Koreans may have to be wary of the French team, which ended the qualifying phase with a perfect 5-0, to be the best European team to enter the competition.

BlizzCon 2018 will be held this year, as was the case with previous installments, in Anaheim, California, on November 2 and 3. The events of the OWC finals will be livestreamed via the game’s Twitch channel, so make sure you do not miss watching it if you are a fan of Overwatch.

Overwatch World Cup 2018 participating teams:

  • France

  • Australia
