Resident Evil HD Remaster becomes Capcom’s fastest selling digital title ever

Capcom announced that the re-release of the cult classic survival horror game Resident Evil in HD has been breaking some records, as it was announced to be the firm’s fastest selling digital title ever. It also became PSN’s biggest-selling digital title launch on Playstation ever.

“It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release. The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance,” said producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.

Resident Evil HD Remaster is a re-release of the GameCube’s remake of the original Resident Evil released on the PS1 back in 1996. The game is now available for PC, PS3/4 and Xbox 360/One.
