After many years of fans struggling to get their voice heard for a Resident Evil 2 remake, Capcom finally heard them out and delivered the long-waited announcement on the tongue of producer Yoshiaki “H” Hirabyashi.
Producer “H” presented himself in a Youtube video directed at fans who he was communicating with through the official Facebook page of the game, saying this wouldn’t have been possible without their voice and suggestions. R&D team 1 is handling the development officially after the company green lit it.
“WE DO IT!” reads the shirt Hirabyashi revealed in the video. This project couldn’t have been made in the past but now is the time to do it, he says.
We won’t be hearing anything new about the project anytime soon as it just entered development but Hirabyashi hopes that fans would support the other remake in the work, Resident Evil 0 which is coming on PC, Xbox One/360 and PS3/4.
