Twitch superstar DrDisrespect is having his own TV show

The most famous “Doctor” in video game community, known as “DrDisrespct”, is about to make history again, as he enters the world of television in a deal that is the first of its kind for a Twitch superstar

 

 

According to reports, Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm was able to conclude a new deal with “Skybound Entertainment”, the production company of The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. Although a few details have been shared, we will get a Disrespect TV show that talks about the story of how the unique character came to be.

According to Beahm’s talk with the Hollywood Reporter, discussions currently include the nature of the show, which will either have some animation alongside live footage, or will follow the full animation route.

“I’m excited about the future of Dr Disrespect!” said Guy Beahm.  “Extending his global domination and expanding into Traditional Entertainment while staying authentic to the character has been a goal of mine. I think fans will be thrilled to catch the two-time champ on the small screen.  The future is bright with this partnership and we’re just getting started!”

It is reported that DrDisrespect will supervise writing the script himself, as fans can expect to see the usual character’s jokes and beloved traditions that they used to see on Twitch’s channel, which has reached more than 100 million views with an average concurrent viewers count of 20,000 in every live broadcast he doe, alongside more than 4 million Followers and 1.3 million subscribers on his official YouTube channel.

DrDisrespect first appeared on short YouTube videos in 2010, before Guy Beahm took a break for a few years in which he helped Sledgehammer design Call of Duty maps before returning to fame through Twitch in 2015. Beam graduated from California State Polytechnic University University, where he studied business, and has played for the NCAA Division II basketball league before.
