Surprising change to the CZ-75 and various Mirage tweaks in the latest CS: GO update

Valve has released a new update for its widely known competitive shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensinve, in it are some welcomed changes that fans have been asking for

You’ll find the new update ready for you when you launch the game through Steam, most notable changes are CZ-75 machine pistol nerf, Mirage receiving a slight makeover, and the M4A1-S rifle has a little more reserve ammo. Changes to the CZ-75 were the biggest and most anticipated for professional and casual players alike.

The base damage of the infamous machine pistol has been reduced from 33 to 31. In addition to the damage nerf, a one-tap is “no longer lethal” against a helmeted opponent. This means that eco rounds will be a little bit more difficult for players wanting to obtain cheap kills. With regards to Mirage, a multitude of changes seem to be focused more on quality of life and streamlining player movement, rather altering the core meta gameplay.

The list of Mirage changes are listed below:

  • Removed skybox limitations
  • Updated some landmark art
  • Lowered skillceiling to get into apartments from T spawn
  • Banked corner in hallway leading to A site scaffolding
  • Removed ladder near entrance to apartments from T spawn, replaced with boxes
  • Removed broken corner near van in bombsite B
  • Improved visibility from T side of mid towards A connector (removed dark background door inside connector)
  • Improved visibility from CT stairs towards T ramp in bombsite A (removed dark background door inside ramp)
  • Disabled bullet collision on vertical fence columns in mid
  • Removed wooden pillars at bottom of mid
  • Fixed some player collision bugs

As for the minor changes, The M4A1-S’ reserve ammo has been increased from 40 to 60, meaning that users of the silenced rifle get a third clip, similar to the gun’s M4A4 counterpart. The MP7 is also now slightly cheaper, with a reduced price from $1,700 to $1,500. You can view Mirage changes in the album below:
